Why do the Conservatives want to kill the CBC?

Because of reports like on last nights Fifth Estate?
Hmmmmmmm......
Video evidence, interviews.... and an appearance by Chief Bully Blair who had every opportunity to respond and spin......

To defend the indefensible.
And he totally came off looking like what he is. An authoritarian follower.

And that, is not a compliment.

What we finally got to see, unvarnished.....
The cops letting a few twits trash the city, and their exact location where they stood with their thumbs in their noses.
And then the ensuing crackdown and abuses of Canadian citizens.
Yes. We do get the message.....

Sit down and STFU. Your corporate overlords would like a quiet complacent coup

They like Conservative Authoritarian types, because they do just that. They swallow whatever they are told, and they do not ask questions.

Definately unCanadian.

Kudos to CBC.Watch the entire thing here.

I wish that the CBC had mentioned that what happened at the G20 is very close to what has happened elsewhere......The Miami Model.  There was a lot more that happened BEFORE the G20 to set the scene.

But they only had an hour, and this story needs to be fleshed out.

At least the door is open

Just gotta wedge it so it doesn't shut.....

It's a fact: 100% of all the people who ate carrots in 1850, are dead.

Good show . . . .

Caught the show last night, too, pale. Good stuff.

It continues to puzzle me that with stuff like this, bev oda's lying to Parliament, and the inability for this government to get Canadian citizens out of harm's way in numerous "hot spots" around the globe, they are still in power.

In fact, some polls show them actually gaining in popularity!

Back in the '80s they referred to ronnie raygun as the "Teflon President" - Apparently we have the "Teflon Tories" up here north of the 49th.

Pity - or should I say - Pitiful . . . .

and pathetic...

Ya. Conservatives love liars and incompetence. Dunno why. They have an aversion to facts.

Kill the CBC

And replace it with FOX News North except that Failed. LOL LOL LOL.

Robbie Burnes said "Oh what a gift the Lord could gie us to see ourselves as others see us."

Here's a snippet from a Robert Kennedy Jr. Huffpo article referring to our PM.

"Harper, often referred to as "George W. Bush's Mini Me," is known for having mounted a Bush like war on government scientists, data collectors, transparency, and enlightenment in general. He is a wizard of all the familiar tools of demagoguery; false patriotism, bigotry, fear, selfishness and belligerent religiosity."

And yet too many Canadians just don't get this. Grrrr.
